     For my second book, I chose The Wayfinders: Why Ancient Wisdom Matters in the Modern World. The moment that this book was introduced in class, I knew I was going to read it for Book 2. I have always loved reading about other cultures and, even more importantly, reading about history. By my nightstand sits a pile of paperbacks stacked twenty high. They are almost all nonfiction and have to deal with some distinct period in time. I have read about the Romans, the Greeks, the Mayans, and the Cherokee, the Sumerians, the Vikings, the Mongols, and the early Polynesians. So, Wade Davis' book caught my attention immediately.       So far, I have enjoyed following his stories of ancient peoples. The daily life of these individuals differs so starkly from out own that it is hard to comprehend. I have a strong admiration for the integrity, strength, and resilience of these peoples.
